Kiong Hee Huat Tsai, fellow Rotarians!

On the heels of PDG Rudy Estrellado’s passing away, Rotarians were further saddened as Margaret Ong, wife of Treas. Clark Ong, succumbed to colon cancer last February 14. In behalf of everyone at the Rotary Club of Chinatown – Manila, I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to Treas. Clark and his family. In this tough and trying time for you and your children, know that your Rotary family is here for you.

Greetings, fellow Rotarians.

It was yet another busy week for me and the Rotary Club of Chinatown – Manila as a joint meeting took place between RCCM and RC Manila which featured two people running for the country’s top two posts in the upcoming elections as special guests, a board meeting was held to discuss some of the upcoming Rotary events, there was a trip to IPO Dam to teach the Dumagats some livelihood projects, the Rotary Leadership Institute seminar was attended by our PE and PN, the new PWU INTERACT officers and members were formally inducted, and a donation of 50 sacks of rice was made to the Hospicio De San Jose.

Greetings, fellow Rotarians.

It has been a very emotional week for us Rotarians as PDG Rudy Estrellado succumbed to brain cancer last January 28, 2010. It is truly a big loss for Rotary as PDG Rudy is considered as one of Rotary’s finest leaders. With heavy hearts, the members of the Rotary Club of Chinatown – Manila carried on with their responsibilities. The events of the past week were: the rice donation at Rizal Province, a radio interview at DZMM, the induction of the new officers and members of the Philippine Women’s Univerity ROTARACT, and the Mass Blood Letting Project.

Happy New Year, my fellow Rotarians!

It was a wonderful start to the year as all the necessary paperwork were completed for the release of the 1,200 sacks of rice that Gusi Peace Prize Awardee Dr. Liu Chi Chun and the Taiwan Root Medical Peace Corps (TRMPC) donated to the Rotary Club of Chinatown – Manila. RCCM immediately got busy by coordinating with our partners in service and distributing the rice donation to those in need. The presentation of the Midyear Report also highlighted the start of the year.
